Take Notes like an Expert

Your internship is like a fishbowl and you're like a fish with a sponge brain!

You!

This fishbowl is an ecosystem. You're another fish in this ecosystem, and you'll have to tread through the waters to get acclimated and adjusted to the new environment. Internally, your mind is a sponge as you're learning.

In order to absorb and retain what you're learning, you need to take notes.

How you take notes should be personal to you, but here is a general structure we recommend for you to get started:

  1. Questions you have and who those questions are for.
  2. Important information and key insights you've gathered.
  3. Feedback and suggestions.

👉 Here's an example under "Note-Taking".

Share your notes with others!

Running campaign, email advertising, direct digital marketing. Email marketing.

Taking notes will help you share your work with someone else. For example, if your supervisor asks for you to share your progress, notes will remind you of things that you've accomplished and make it easier for you to share.

You can also share your amazing notes with your team to make their lives easier and -sort of- switch the power for them to come to YOU as a helpful intern.

If you're working with other interns, align with each other on your notes and share it in a group chat or email chain with others from the meeting.

People outside of the company shouldn't have access to notes that contain sensitive information. It is important to safeguard client and company data.
