It is time for you to conduct research into new trends within the EV or Hybrid industry. Common and popular frameworks that consultants do are PESTLE or Porter's Five Forces. To review these methods, re-read the "Leveraging Industry Research in Your Business Strategies" within the research guide above by IBISWorld. By using any of the frameworks, Genesis Engineering can gain a better understanding of current and future trends in the EV/Hybrid industry.


Now, Jarod has given you the free reign to pick any of the 2 frameworks for either the EV or Hybrid Vehicle industry to conduct your research in and utilize the Google Doc template provided.

Instructions

  1. Open the Industry Research Template and make a copy (File > Make a copy) on your google email account
  2. Pick either the PESTLE or Porter's Five Forces framework
    1. PESTLE: stands for political, economic, sociocultural, technological, legal, and environmental. It is an analytical tool to determine how external factors influence their operations and make them more competitive in the market.
    2. Porter's Five Forces: an analytical model used to help identify the structure of an industry and to help companies determine their competitive strategies.
  3. Pick either the EV or Hybrid Vehicle industry
    1. EV: The EV industry refers to the production, distribution, and use of electric vehicles that run on batteries or other forms of renewable energy.
    2. Hybrid Vehicle: The hybrid vehicle industry refers to the production, distribution, and use of vehicles that combine an electric motor with a gasoline or diesel engine, providing improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
  4. Complete the framework analysis in the industry you chose
